Fox Products is legendary instrument manufacturer based in Indiana, USA, producing high-quality bassoons, contrabassoons, English horns, and oboes. They were looking to modernize their site with a full overhaul.
A fellow web designer who I’ve worked with on various WordPress sites proposed that we develop this site together, as it was a huge project and there were many aspects she was unable to handle herself.
I was primarily in charge of the E-Commerce and Dealer Membership Portal sections of the site, but I also assisted in solving issues with many aspects of the layout my partner was unable to figure out. I used WooCommerce to both allow the client to sell their own products directly, as well as integrating with Printify to sell their branded merchandise. They had many specific requirements for things like shipping, much of which I was able to deliver by utilizing custom PHP snippets instead of them having to purchase numerous, pricey plugins.
They required two different kinds of authorized dealers to have access to a member-only Dealer Portal. Utilizing the Ultimate Member plugin, I developed dealer application forms to streamline their onboarding process, as well as restrict access to the Dealer Portal to appropriate users. I also exported their existing dealer database, modified the data to the proper format, and imported the dealer list to create user accounts in the new WordPress site.
