Rotaract Club of Birmingham Website w/ Membership Management
Designed, developed, optimized, and deployed a WordPress responsive website. Features include a private member portal with a member directory, a membership application form, online dues payment and donation acceptance w/ WooCommerce, an event calendar, and custom PHP scripts.
The Rotaract Club of Birmingham approached me after seeing the website I designed and developed for the Birmingham Sunrise Rotary Club. They desired to modernize the look of their website, as well as to move away from an expensive constituent relationship management (CRM) system for non-profit organizations. The CRM handled their yearly dues payments, as well as their events. After extensive research, I determined the most economical and satisfactory solution for handling the dues payments was a combination of WooCommerce + WooCommerce Subscriptions + Ultimate Member. This plugin combination was successfully implemented, saving the club thousands of dollars per year.
I also created a membership directory with member profiles. In addition, I created an application form for potential members, allowing users to upload all necessary documents instead of emailing, as was previously done. Instead of the process being done through various channels with duplicate data entry required, once a new member is approved, the Club Directors need only approve the application in WordPress and the users’ account is activated.
